- 1.5 lbs chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 3 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes to make the marinade.
- Cut chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and add to the marinade. Toss to coat and let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (or prepare air fryer to 375°F if using that method).
- Heat vegetable oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from marinade (reserve marinade) and cook in the skillet until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
- Add green beans to the skillet and cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour the reserved marinade over the chicken and green beans.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and green beans are tender-crisp.
- Garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For a gluten-free version, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
- This recipe can be made in an air fryer for a quicker cooking time.
