- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture alternately with the milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
- Fold in the blueberries gently to avoid breaking them.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- While the cake cools, make the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar and lemon juice.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake before serving.
Notes
For enhanced flavor, add a tablespoon of lemon zest to the batter. Use fresh ingredients at room temperature for best results.
