Description

A delightful mango mousse that showcases the fruit’s natural sweetness, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe mangoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon gelatin (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon water (if using gelatin)
  • Mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice the mangoes, then blend them in a blender until smooth.
  2. In a small bowl, dissolve the gelatin in water (if using) and let it bloom for about 5 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the mango puree, sweetened condensed milk, and lime juice into the whipped cream.
  5. If using gelatin, heat it slightly until melted and then fold it into the mixture.
  6. Divide the mousse into serving glasses and refrigerate for at least 120 minutes until set.
  7. Garnish with mint leaves before serving.

Notes

Chill the heavy cream for best results, and feel free to adjust sweetness based on mangoes’ ripeness.
