Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

- Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Whisk the egg, buttermilk, maple syrup, and melted butter until well combined in a separate bowl.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stir gently until just combined.
- Fold in the cooked and crumbled bacon.
- Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
