Description
A rich and flavorful marinated venison steak, perfect for grilling and enhancing family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb venison steak (sirloin, round, loin, etc.)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp spicy brown mustard
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tsp garlic, minced
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Pat the venison steak dry with paper towels.
- In a shallow dish or resealable bag, combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, spicy brown mustard, Italian seasoning, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
- Stir the marinade ingredients together until well blended.
- Add the venison steak to the marinade and turn a couple of times to coat evenly.
- Cover or seal and refrigerate for 8-24 hours, flipping the steak at least once.
- Preheat the grill to 350°F.
- Remove the steak from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off, and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes before grilling.
- Grill the steak directly over the open flame for 4-5 minutes per side, until grill marks appear and the internal temperature reaches 120-125°F for medium-rare.
- Once grilled, let the steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing or serving whole. Enjoy!
Notes
Experiment with marinade proportions for varied flavors. Always slice against the grain for tenderness.
