Delicious and comforting muffin tin meat pies with a flaky puff pastry shell and a savory ground meat filling.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of puff pastry
  • 1 lb ground meat (beef or chicken)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, chopped (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into squares to fit into a muffin tin.
  3. In a skillet, sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  4. Add the ground meat and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  6. Fill the pastry-lined muffin tin with the meat mixture and sprinkle cheese on top if using.
  7. Cover with another layer of pastry and seal the edges.
  8. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.
