Description
A savory and rich butter infused with roasted garlic and fresh herbs, perfect for enhancing grilled meats and vegetables.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 head of garlic, roasted
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F. Wrap a head of garlic in aluminum foil and roast for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until the cloves are soft and golden brown. Allow it to cool, then squeeze out the roasted cloves into a bowl and mash them into a paste.
- Chop the fresh parsley and chives, keeping them ready while the garlic roasts.
- Combine the softened butter, mashed roasted garlic, chopped parsley, chopped chives, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes in a mixing bowl.
- Mix everything thoroughly until all ingredients mesh together, creating a uniform spread. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the butter mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap and shape it into a log, twisting the ends of the wrap.
- Refrigerate the log until firm to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container or wrapped tightly in plastic wrap. This butter can last up to a month in the refrigerator or longer in the freezer.
