- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup caramel candies, chopped
- Sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, combining thoroughly.
- Whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Blend the dry mixture into the creamed mixture until fully combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped caramel candies.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them out appropriately.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges set and no longer look wet.
- Sprinkle immediately with sea salt for finishing.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks.
Notes
Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking for thicker cookies. Use parchment paper for easier cleanup.
