A comforting casserole made with hash browns, kielbasa sausage, and cheddar cheese, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 (32 oz.) bag frozen hash browns
  • 14 oz. kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp creole seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Grease the slow cooker for easy cleanup.
  2. Combine the hash browns, kielbasa, diced onion, and 2 cups of cheddar cheese in the slow cooker.
  3. In a separate bowl, blend the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, creole seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the mixture over the hash brown mixture and gently stir to combine.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  6. Set the slow cooker to low and cook for about 6 hours or on high for 4 hours.

Notes

For a more robust flavor, sauté the kielbasa and onion before adding them to the slow cooker.
