  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into heart shapes.
  3. Mix softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
  4. Place a spoonful of cream cheese mixture in the center of each heart.
  5. Top with sliced strawberries.
  6. Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling slightly.
  7. Brush the edges with beaten egg.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
