Instructions
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Mix the melted butter, egg, milk, and vanilla extract in another bowl until combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a smooth dough forms.
- Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Drop spoonfuls of dough into the hot oil, frying until golden brown on each side.
- Remove beignets and drain on paper towels.
