Description
Delightful homemade donuts that are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, made easily in an air fryer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can of refrigerated biscuit dough (like Pillsbury Grands)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Optional Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar
- Optional Glaze: 2-3 tablespoons milk
- Optional Glaze: 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits.
- Use a small round cutter to cut out the center of each biscuit, creating a donut shape.
- Keep the donut holes for air frying as well.
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about three minutes.
- Lightly spray or brush the air fryer basket with a little oil to prevent sticking.
- Place the donuts (and donut holes) in a single layer in the basket. Ensure you don’t overcrowd them; working in batches if necessary is recommended.
- Air fry the donuts for 4-5 minutes. Flip them halfway through to ensure they become golden brown and puffed.
- While the donuts are air frying, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Once perfectly golden, immediately brush the donuts with melted butter and toss them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
Notes
For added flavor, consider experimenting with spices like nutmeg. Serve warm for the best experience.
